Our custom barn doors are handmade we hand select each wood plank that will be used to build your door, but it is common and very likely that your door will reflect the natural characteristics and imperfections of the wood such as grain and knots. Our stains are also applied by hand and will be received by the wood in multiple tones of the same colour. We refer to our barn doors as “Functional Pieces of Art”.

Colours as close as printing process allows. The final colour and finish will be influenced by the application method and product and will appear different on different timbers – always test your colour on a timber off-cut before starting the main project. Samples are shown on pine unless another timber type is stated.
FAQ:
Structural support is required
Barn doors can be heavy – up to 90kgs or more, so for sturdiness, most people mount the track to a header attached to the wall studs above the doorway. Wall anchors are not sufficient support for hanging these doors. Bonus: Mounting your door to a header positions the door far enough from the wall to clear the door frame and trim when sliding.
Here at Taylormade Barn Doors we like to give you a custom track if you like, and remove the need for the headers, and we find the studs and make the bars to order, taking measurements on quoting.
